Attracting Prosperity

The concept of prosperity is of the utmost importance in Feng Shui. To be prosperous goes far beyond your bank account, it really addresses your life condition, your state of being. From a Feng Shui prospective to be prosperous means to be healthy, wealthy and wise. A prosperous person is also blessed with wonderful relationships both personal and professional. When one is living a prosperous life, good things flow to them easily and effortlessly. To be prosperous is indeed to be “in the flow” of nature where all that is good is abundant and available to us.

Prosperity according to Webster’s Dictionary means: “prosperous condition, good fortune, wealth, success, etc.” We don’t always think of it on this level but the literal meaning in our culture is the same as that in the Chinese culture and Feng Shui. Here in the United States, we generally think of prosperity in terms of wealth and financial security. These are definitely a piece of the prosperity puzzle, but not the whole picture.

Then what exactly is prosperity? Prosperity is a state of mind as well as a state of being. It is a mindset that sees the universe as abundant, kind, safe and loving. When we hold this view of the universe, we know that we will be provided for and that all we have to do is ask.

How do we attract prosperity? There are many Feng Shui “cures” for prosperity and almost as many books have been written giving advice on this ever popular subject. . A large part of Feng Shui is intention. As we pay attention to our lives and circumstances we often see areas in which we want change. Quite often one of these areas is prosperity. When we set an intention for prosperity with a Feng Shui cure, we are saying to the universe “ I want prosperity to be part of my life experience.” Feng Shui cures have power on many levels. The first level occurs when you decide to do Feng Shui to enhance your life. This decision sets energy in motion. When you hire a professional and invite them into your home or business the energy changes even further – they bring new energy and knowledge into the mix. The next level is focusing your intention. What do you want for your life? What are your priorities? The third level is giving attention to your intention. Think about your desire for prosperity, focus on it, and keep it in your mind so it becomes a dominant thought. Never, ever focus on the lack of it. Focusing on lack is like building a brick wall in front of your front door. Just as the brick wall will not allow energy to easily flow into your home, your thoughts of lack will keep abundant prosperity from flowing into your life. A Feng Shui cure also serves as a “cue” in your environment to remind you of your intention. This is level four. The last level is mystical, meaning “beyond understanding”. At this level your intention and the ancient power of the Feng Shui cures selected for you, blend and the universe conspires to fill your desires. All you really have to do at this point is get out of your own way. You can do this by keeping your thoughts on the fulfillment of your desire and away from thoughts of lack. Know that prosperity is yours, you deserve it and it is on the way.
